SZ2XP "double" FN keys functionality?

Hi,

My laptop is a SZ2XP, running WinXP 32bit and I have the latest "VAIO Update".

The OS was recently reinstalled and with that the FN key functionality disappeared, so I sat down and googled my way to get them back working!

I tried this fix:

The files I used were of the "Originally Installed" -> "Original Utilities" package here: http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-SZ2XP_C

It works, sort of. This is the result:

That's what I get when I press either FN+F5 or FN+F6. Two "sliders", it seems as though they are of a different version, too: the top one has a plus and minus whereas the bottom one has arrows on either side and they move somewhat simultaneously.

Same story for the volume buttons!

What's going on here? The keys functioned perfectly fine before the XP reinstall.
