How to uninstall norton antivirus on a vaio?!?!

I recently purchased the new anti vrius software 'Panda Security'

It will not let me install this when norton antivirus is still on my system. Norton ran out a long time ago now but for some reason i cannot get all traces of it off my laptop before i install Panda.

I've tried to install panda already but it will not let me as Norton has been recognised as still being on here!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a sony vaoi VGN-NR10E laptop and the wireless network is no longer working. Upon turning on the laptop the green light remains on. However as soon as i enter my password to get into the computer the light goes off, and this is preventing me from connecting to any wireless networks! I would appreciate any help you can give me.
