Hello mjsimkins - Welcome to the Sony Forums

This may a sign that the sensor or mirror within the body has been physically damaged. Has the camera taken any kind of knock lately i.e. has it been accidentally dropped?

    Thanks,

    Simon

It is likely that image stabilisation has failed (Super Steady Shot).  You'll need to get it repaired, but it might not be worth the cost.
