Space-saving styling

As well as being slim and compact, JS-series includes a unique ‘loop’ design incorporating keyboard storage. When watching movies or playing music, store the keyboard out of the way beneath the display. This also allows easy and convenient carriage of the PC from room to room.

Choice of colours

Designed as a personal home media PC to fit a variety of environments, the VAIO JS is available in two contemporary colours. Choose from elegant silver or personal pink.

Big screen viewing

Home entertainment comes into its own with a big screen high resolution display. Enjoy pin-sharp images, ultra-bright pictures and excellent colour fidelity with Sony X-black LCD technology featuring four lamps. Ideal for watching films, editing home movies and photos, playing all-action games and surfing the net.

The VAIO JS features a large 20.1” X-black LCD display with WSXGA+ resolution of 1680x1050.

As well as being a stylish and compact media centre, the VAIO JS is also a powerful home PC. On board is a fast Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7200 processor and 3072MB of DDR2 SDRAM memory for highly efficient multimedia performance. Download latest music and video tracks at high speed, multi-task with ease and power your way through all those graphic intensive games and programmes.

Videos, photos, movies and music downloads take up a lot of space on your computer. That’s why the VAIO JS includes a massive hard drive capacity of 500GB. More than enough storage to handle all your multimedia needs for years to come.

The VAIO JS is designed for your home and is consequently extremely quiet. Using advanced design and engineering techniques, hard disc drive vibration and noise has been kept to a minimum and heat dissipation improved for near silent operation.

High Quality sound

The VAIO JS features high quality PC stereo speakers and a Sound Reality Chip for a rich audio-visual experience. Also featured is Dolby Home Theatre® for powerful virtual surround. Dolby Home Theater® includes advanced audio technologies to place you right at the heart of the action for a true cinema-at-home experience. Optical out sockets allow easy connection to Home Cinema systems.

Fast wireless connectivity

Communicate easily with friends, family and colleagues using the next generation of wireless technology. The VAIO JS includes Draft-n standard for up to five times faster wireless connectivity, more reliability and a wider reception range than "g" standard when connected to your home wireless network. Stream video wirelessly through your home without the need for any additional hardware or cables and keep in touch when on the move.

Fun-filled communications

Hiding discreetly in the LCD panel is a high performance camera that allows you to conveniently video chat with friends and family3. Featuring 1.3 mega pixels, the camera provides sharp and crystal clear pictures.

The Face Tracking technology identifies your skin tone and facial outline. It automatically adjusts zoom and focus to keep you in the centre of the screen. That makes for a much more relaxed and natural video chat.

Also on board is an integrated microphone with Acoustic Echo Canceller and Beam-Forming. These advanced features remove unwanted echoes and other background noise so that only your voice is transmitted to the person you are talking to.
