The [3D Sweep Panorama] mode enables you to shoot 3D images that can be viewed on a 3D TV with a sense of depth.

1. Determining the subject to shoot

The range of subjects that can be captured using the [3D Sweep Panorama] mode depends on the image size selection. Select an image size that matches the scenery you intend to shoot. To achieve 3D images that best convey a sense of depth, shoot the subject from a distance of 3 ~ 10m.

2. How to shoot a 3D Sweep Panorama image

3. Tips for shooting a 3D Sweep Panorama image

The following techniques will enable you to achieve better results when using the [3D Sweep Panorama] mode.

  1. Choosing the subject

    Depending on the subject, you may experience problems in terms of not capturing an entire image or achieving poor image results. Accordingly, you should note the following:
    • Subjects with extreme light-dark contrast
      While panning the camera, recording may stop before the entire image has been captured.

    • Subjects with repeating patterns and little contrast

    • Moving subjects
      The camera may fail to capture the entire image, or portions of the image may be improperly stitched.

  2. Shooting images

    Depending on the panning direction and the distance from the subject, you may experience poor image results. Accordingly, you should note the following:
    • Pan the camera horizontally
      Panning the camera in a diagonal or up-down direction can cause distortion of the captured image or can cause the camera to stop recording.

      Shooting a subject at too close range may result in uneven or jagged images.
