Perfect everyday lens

I had been looking for a general purpose everyday lens for sometime. Having researched various makes and focal lengths, I decided that the most practical for myself was the 18-135mm. It matches perfectly with my SLT-A68, and will be going with me on holiday. Used it recently at my daughters baby reveal party and got some excellent stills and video. Although not the fastest of lenses, it works really well in outdoor situations, sharp and fast focus with very little noise. If you are looking for an all rounder for travelling or just as a lens you leave on your camera as an upgrade from the kit lens, then this could be worth looking at.

Konnte das Produkt mit dem SAL1680 von Zeiss vergleichen.Die Qualität der Fotos Steht dem Zeiss-Produkt nicht viel nach! Da ich viel mit Foto-Equipment wandere, war die längere Brennweite für das DT 18 - 135 ausschlaggebend! Bei dem Zeiss muss ich immer eine Tele-Brennweite mitführen, was bei anstrengenden Wanderungen nicht gerade angenehm ist. Und ich musste feststellen, dass sehr wenig Fotos mit 16 mm und 200mm und mehr Brennweite gemacht wurden. So bin ich mit dem 18 - 135 sehr gut aufgestellt und für fast alle Situationen gerüstet. Außerdem habe ich für alle Fälle noch einen Telekonverter in der Hosentasche, der mit diesem Objektiv gut harmoniert und entsprechend abgeblendet auf dem Reisestativ für gute Ergebnisse sorgt.

Ich habe mir dieses Objektiv für Urlaub und Reisen gekauft. Ein vorheriges SAL16105 wurde damit ersetzt. Bildqualität ist gleich, hier mußte ich keine Abstriche machen. Vorteil vom 18135: Leiser und flotter AF (hilfreich bei Videoclips) Ist leichter als mein vorheriges Objektiv.

Das Objektiv ist im gesamten Brennweitenbereich sehr scharf - und das bis in die Bildecken. Auch meist bei ganz offener Blende. Und das ist genial. Ich hätte sicher gerne einen größeren Zoombereich - aber dafür habe ich jetzt scharfe Bilder. Weniger ist eben manchmal mehr! Ich hatte zuvor ein Objektiv von einem Dritthersteller - aber das kam an diese Schärfe nicht heran. Der Autofokus ist auch einwandfrei (Habe eine Alpha 77 Mark II) Eines sei nur vermerkt: Ich habe ein SAL18135 wieder zurück gehen lassen, da es in der rechten Ecke nicht scharf war. Das zweite war dann bestens.

Estupendo el resultado de las fotos. Compré este objetivo después de informarme un compañero del foto-club y leer varios comentarios en Internet, todos eran favorables. Aun tardare en sacarle todo el rendimiento con la cámara Alfa 58 que compre hace 2 años. No he encontrado ninguna pega. Con este objetivo puedo hacer las mayoría de las fotos que hago normalmente. Ya no uso los otros mas que para algún caso muy especial (el 18-55 que venia con cámara, un 35-70 y un 80-210 Minolta). Totalmente recomendable como objetivo todo-terreno para un aficionado sencillo.

Ik heb deze lens nu 2 weken in mijn bezit en heb er prachtige foto's mee kunnen maken. De lens lijkt qua prestaties erg veel op de duurdere 16-105, die ik ook in mijn bezit heb. De DT 18-135 doet daar zeker niet voor onder. De 18-135 is bij het automatisch scherpstellen veel stiller en heeft daarnaast een iets groter zoombereik, wat erg prettig kan zijn als je op vakantie niet teveel mee wil sjouwen. De lens levert scherpe beelden, een mooi contrast en fraaie kleuren op. Kortom: een aanrader.

Versatile and High Quality Lens for Sony Alpha

I bought the Sony 18-135mm Alpha lens as an upgrade to the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Sony A65 camera, as I wanted more flexibility and creative choice in my photography. I've had the 18-135mm lens for some time now and have really enjoyed using it and have got some excellent results. The lens itself feels sturdy and well made, (in Japan) with a metal lens mount and easy to use zoom and focus rings. This lens is quite a bit heavier than the kit lens but without making the camera feel unbalanced or too cumbersome. In general the images produced with the lens are very good, producing sharp images with quick focusing which is less noisy & smoother than the standard kit lens. I've used this lens for close ups, landscapes, action and low light photography and now use this lens for 80% of my shots taken with this camera. The extra focal length provided by this lens comes in very handy and so I think it would make a great choice as a single choice travel lens, when you might want to travel lighter rather than being weighed down by taking several lenses on a trip somewhere. Een mooi zoombereik van 18-135mm APS-C met een A-mount. Ikngebruikndezevsamen met een LA-EA4 op een a3000 en een a5000. Een betaalbaar concept dat toch het gewicht enigszins beperkt houdt. Helaas niet met beeldstabilisatie, maar zou de prijs weer enorm opjagen. Goed beeld, scherp voor een zoom en niet te zwaar. Goede constructie en incl zonnekap.

Buena calidad de construcción; interesante función de enfoque manual directo; anillo frontal no giratorio (permite uso de filtros ND o polarizados); excelente calidad de imagen, en la que destaca su nitidez (soberbia en el centro). Únicamente en contra la distorsión el el extremo 18 mm, no siempre fácil de corregir (RAW+LR; no usado en JPEG con función activada de corrección en la cámara). Buena conjunción A65+SAL18135

Das Bessere Kit-Objektiv

Als Ersatz bzw Upgrade für mein Kit-Objektiv habe ich mir diese Linse bei einer günstigen Gelegenheit eher unplanmäßig gekauft. Das SAL1855 Kit ist rein optisch schon nicht schlecht, aber die ED-Gläser des SAL18135 heben die Bildqualität auf ein ganz anderes Level. Verarbeitung und Haptik sind top. Der Autofokus ist schnell, treffsicher und relativ leise. Für Videoaufnahmen mit internen Mikro aber noch zu laut. Ein externes Mikro ist bei Video eigentlich Pflicht. Das Objektiv hat ein Metallbajonett statt Plastik und die vordere Linse dreht nicht mit. Das ist gut wenn man mit Polfiltern arbeitet. Eine Gegenlichtblende ist mit dabei. Das Obj. ist zwar kein echtes Macro, aber man kann sehr gut Nahaufnahmen machen.

Günstiges Zoom-Objektiv, das im unteren und mittleren Brennweitenbereich gut-sehr gut auflöst. Harmoniert zusammen mit meiner a77 II ganz hervorragend! Die Verarbeitung ist solide und beschränkt sich auf das wesentliche ohne dabei billig zu wirken. Kurzum: wer nicht gerade allzu viel Geld ausgeben möchte und trotzdem schöne Bilder festhalten will, macht mit dieser Allround-Linse so gut wie nichts falsch.
