Wenn ich das bei Sony hätte kaufen müssen, wäre es mir zu teuer für diese Qualität, dann würde ich eher etwas mehr ausgeben und ein höherwertiges Objektiv kaufen, was ich wohl auch demnächst machen werde. Zum normalen Gebrauch ist es vollkommen ausreichend.

Great lens let down by rubbish lens hood options

I purchased a brand new Sony SLT A58 complete with this lens. After realising that the other lenses offered by sony as kit sets included a lens hood as standard I found that the lens itself is fine but to my dismay a decent ("flower" or shaped) reversible lens hood which fastens to the bayonet fitting provided on the lens is not available - even from Sony. Any proprietary shaped lens hoods screw onto the filter ring and hence rotate with the focusing ring - which is hopeless. My previous much cheaper (Fuji) Bridge camera had this as standard and was found to be very convenient in use ( per the photos below). In this respect only I expected better from Sony who as a manufacturer I have always respected

This came with my A58 three lens pack, it is quick to focus and superior to the DT 18-70, and the DT 18-55 SAM I. The results are great with no noticeable low points. In times of low light it is inferior to my DT 50 prime lens but that is tone expected!

Esta lente me vino como kit en mi alpha A58. Es un buen objetivo, con un rango muy bueno, que permite sacar fotos desde paisajes hasta retratos. Ideal para aprender . Creo que las mejores fotos las da entre 24mm y 35mm. Por debajo de 24mm distorsiona (como cualquier objetivo en ese rango). Y por encima de 35mm necesita luz y su desenfoque no es tan bueno como una lente fija, aunque cumple. Objetivo ideal para inciarse en fotografía , para luego dar el salto a objetivos de focal fija o zoom más luminosos.

L'obiettivo a 18mm, il diaframma varia da F=3.5 a F22 L'obiettivo a 55mm, il diaframma varia da F=5.6 a F22 Impostate 18mm per paesaggi o soggetto con paesaggio sullo sfondo. Impostate 55mm per ritratti o macro. Consiglio di acquistare il vetro uv da 55 mm per proteggere la lente.

Ich habe das Objektiv zusammen als KIT-Objektiv mit meiner SLT-A58 gekauft. Als Umsteiger von einer Bridgekamera einer anderen Marke hat mich die Bildqualität der Sony mit dem KIT-Objektiv vom ersten Moment an begeistert. Insbesondere bei schlechteren Lichtverhältnissen (dunkler Raum im Museum) gelingen bei ISO3200 noch sehr gute, Rauscharme Bilder. Sicherlich ist hier das Objektiv die Qualität begrenzende Größe und kann die Möglichkeiten der SLT-A58 nicht voll ausnutzen. Für den Einstieg und den Preis ist das Objektiv aber eine absolute Empfehlung, mit dem man sehr gute Fotos machen kann.

Me regalaron la cámara en Navidad y recientemente he viajado con ella. He conseguido resultados muy buenos. La opción de cámara de vídeo me ha resultado bastante útil. No sabría explicar, de forma técnica, las prestaciones que tiene ya que mi experiencia con las réflex es nula. Sólo sé que si me tomo mi tiempo voy obteniendo los resultados que mi ojo quiere ver.

Das Objektiv vermittelt erst einmal eher Plastikfeeling. Umso überraschender ist die optische Leistung. Vor allem im Bereich 20 bis 40 mm ist es ein wirklich hervorragendes Objektiv. Bei 18 mm ist nur die Verzeichnung relativ stark. Die zentrale Schärfe und Brillanz hingegen sehr gut. Ab 40 mm baut das Objektiv generell etwas ab, hier hilft immer abblenden um zwei Stufen. Als Kit Objektiv unbedingt empfohlen.

I purchased this to replace an earlier version of the same lens (SAM 18-55) because the zoom used to stick and it could not be used for video. A basic design fault that was well known!! This one was soft due to condensation build up. After a couple of days it cleared and is now OK. It was supplied by Sony UK as a split from combined lens camera combo and mailed without any packaging, just a bit of bubble wrap. You need to do something about this. Good value for money though.

Die Haptik des Objektives würde ich als sehr gut beurteilen. Ob das Kunststoffbajonett schlechter als ein Metallbajonett ist, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Mittlerweile gibt es hervorragende Kunststoffe. Super finde ich den sehr leichtgängigen Zoomring. Auch der Fokusring ist als sehr gut zu bezeichnen. Man kann sehr genau manuell fokussieren ohne ein Ruckeln der Mechanik zu bemerken. Die Bildqualität ist als gut zu bezeichnen. Auch war ich angenehm überrascht, dass auch Nahaufnahmen in toller Qualität möglich sind. Vielleicht sollte man dem Objektiv eine Sonnenblende gönnen. So muss man diese extra erwerben. Alles in allem ist das Objektiv sehr zu empfehlen und dann auch noch zu diesem Preis. Ich bin mit dem Objektiv sehr zufrieden.

Bought it along with an A58 to use on my A55 (and was going to keep a long zoom on the A58 body), unfortunately my A55 suddenly stopped working, will not take photos although very occasionally it comes to life and shows the parameters display, shows focus points, but no shutter release and no view (just blank) through the evf/lcd. Sent the A58 and lenses back, if the A55 is an example of Sony quality I will stick with my Panasonic FZ200. From the one use I had of the SAM II lens it seemed a big improvement on the original 18-55 on my A55. I recently took early ill health retirement and the A58/A55 set up with the 18-55mm SAM II and a long zoom was going to be my long term kit because of limited finances, it has left me very dissapointed.

Dieses Objektiv habe ich im Kit mit dazu bekommen. Es hat eine ausreichend gute Qualität und bietet einen guten Funktionsumfang für Neueinsteiger wie mich. Bislang habe ich dank diesem Objektiv schon super Bilder machen können! Leider sitzt der vordere Teil des Objektiv's etwas "instabil" kann also minimal seitlich bewegt werden. Ob das jedoch gewollt oder ungewollt ist, weiß ich nicht. Alles in allem für den Einstieg ein super Objektiv!
