Most disappointing purchase ever, same for support

One of the worst products i ever bought and the support that came with it was even worse. It made me so angry that I didn't want anything to do with them anymore. Bought this camera especially for an expedition to Malaysian Borneo and the aim was to should beautiful video's, but then it did not want to work at all, every time i switched it on there appears a red warning screen with text full off writing errors and it did not boot up at all. Only sometimes it did boot and then i could use it, but when it is like this each time you fetch your camera, you don't grab it at all anymore since you're expecting it not to work at all and it's a waste of your precious time in nature. What could be the cause? Moist? Other companions on this expedition, did have Sony foto and videocamera's and did not have these issues. So after the expedition, when i came home, it seemed to work fine. I contacted Sony and told them this, they (the repair service that they hired) told me to send it and if possible they repair it. Repair it? I bought it brand new, what's to repair? You should replace it and nothing else. Since it was talking to deaf men's ears and i could and would spend my time with more pleasant things in life, i gave up. Next Trip i tried to use it again, since the money was spend in this camera. It was a completely different trip in a completely different environment, one of the driest places on earth. And guess what, i t was working, but just a bit. Autofocus only worked when the camera felt like it, and the original accessories had the same mentality and only functioned when they felt like it. Again moist? From sweaty hands? Just tell me, I'm done with it. Curious about the quality of the footage I was able to film. And forget about shooting in low light, because if you try, you'll end up with image quality you'd find in cheap toys, even with a reasonable videolight it does not want to do the job. The only thing left is the night shoot option, that seems to work better but you'll end up with green video material. I wish i would have never bought this camera since it is a pure waist of money and Sony doesn't seem to care.

Uitstekende focus en soepele zoom. Na eerst op youtube wat reviews bekeken te hebben heb ik deze camera aangeschaft. Het menu werkt goed maar alle instellingen zijn wel verdeeld over camera en beelformaat submenu’s. Mijn enige wens: helaas geen geheugenknop voor enkele totaalinstellingen zoals daglicht 4k , kunstlicht 4k en daglicht HD en kunstlicht HD. En helaas maar een gebruikerinstelling voor witbalans: vandaar 4 in plaats van 5 sterren

Sehr gute Film & Foto Qualität. Leider nur 4 Sterne weil die manuellen Einstellungen zu wenig sind, und nach dem Ausschalten alle Einstellungen wieder auf AUTO stehen. ein sehr schlechtes System. Hier sollte ein neues Update dem Filmer mehr helfen

Le caméscope Sony FDR AX53 est une très bonne caméra pour les YouTubers 📹 Elle filme en très bonne résolution, même en basse lumière 🤩 Elle dispose d'un excellent zoom optique qui permet de filmer des sujets très loin 😀 Il y a aussi un mode "NightShot" qui permet de filmer dans le noir complet comme en plein jour 🌃

J'avais un camescope SONY vieux de 10 ans qui fonctionnait très bien. Il m'a été volé. J'ai donc racheté le AX 53 en 4K mais celui ci semble beaucoup moins robuste car constitué de pièces plastiques. La vente de Camescope diminue du fait des smartphones sans doute. Il faut donc préserver les marges... dommage

Dysfonctionnement après 1 an d'utilisation

Appareil exceptionnel mais a commencé à dysfonctionner moins d'un an après son achat alors qu'il n'a même pas été utilisé régulièrement. Etant donné son prix d'achat le rapport qualité/prix n'y est pas. Très déçu.

I have had a Sony HDR-CX130E for many years now and it has been great. However I feel that I would like an upgrade with a few more features and this FDR-AX53 really fits the bill. I love the design and the extra weight which must contribute to steadiness. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet but with a holiday in Cornwall coming up and a wedding in September I’m sure it will be given a thorough testing.

1° - ABSENCE DE LA DATE et de L'HEURE en bas de l'écran au début de lecture de séquences filmées qui devraient apparaitre pendant quelques secondes. 2° - PRISES DE VUES QUI CONTINUENT ENVIRON 1 SECONDE après avoir appuyé sur le bouton "STOP enregistrement", ce qui donne des images bougées en fin de séquences filmées si on oubli de garder le caméscope immobile. 3° AFFICHAGE INUTILE en bas de l'écran de lettre C suivis des chiffres.MP4 au début de lecture de chaque clip. 4° - SON FAIBLE lors de lecture sur caméscope des séquences filmées. 5° - BOUTON "ZOOM" trop sensible rendant difficile l'utilisation fine du zoom. 6° - ABSENCE DE POSSIBILITE DE FIXER UN CACHE au-dessus de l'orifice de microphone ce qui rend les bruits générés par le vent particulièrement gênants.

Praktischer Camcorder für alle Gelegenheiten

Habe mir die Cam als Zweitgerät - neben FDR AX700 (mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin) - gekauft, um für alle Gelegenheiten gerüstet zu sein. Ich filme oft Veranstaltungen, zu denen ich mind. 2 Cams benötige und kann hierbei den AX53 sehr gut als Hand-Kamera einsetzen. Auch für spontanes Filmen auf div. Festen ist die "Neue" wg. der BOSS-Stabilisierung bestens verwendbar. Die Bildqualität ist gut, bei weniger Licht noch zufriedenstellend. Daneben nutze ich bei solchen Gelegenheiten meist noch gleichzeitig eine Actioncam von Sony (FDR X3000) wg. Beweglichkeit und Weitwinkel. Auch wenn die Cam evtl. nicht mehr ganz up-to-date ist, ist sie für mich sehr gut verwendbar, da neuere Modelle nicht verfügbar sind und mir z.B. eine Systemkamera vom Handling und vom Gewicht her nicht praktikabel genug sind, obwohl die Bildqualität damit sicher noch gesteigert werden kann.

Excellent camera to use indoors and outside when there is cloud cover or when the sun is not too bright, otherwise there is the same problem as with all cameras i.e seeing the subject in the monitor; also not easy in the viewfinder.

Useful general purpose camcorder

I bought this camera for 3 reasons. (1) to replace an HVR-Z5 as transferring images into Premiere is no longer easy. (2) good steady-shot and 4K recording functions (3) it's light and easy to handle. The limited ability to operate multiple functions in manual mode is frustrating. The "door" covering the multi-function shoe is flimsy and when open it rattles. A few more functions from the AX700 would be welcome.

I particularly wanted a handy-cam and was pleased with my choice. The quality is excellent and it is easy to use. Only annoyances is the button on the side that switches it to manual focus, which can easily be knocked and not noticed during night filming and the viewfinder not displaying as clear & focused view as that of the pull out display.

Seit 1991 filme ich mit Unterbrechung im Hobbybereich für Familie und Co. und schaue dabei jetzt auf insgesamt 4 Generationen von Sony-Kameras zurück. Von Anfang an war ich begeistert davon, für mich und meine Lieben Geschichte & Geschichten festhalten zu können. Mit dem Smartphone schien diese Tradition beendet, vom Fortschritt überholt und wie Fotoapparat, Videorekorder und Co. verdrängt worden zu sein. Alles muss jetzt schnell gehen, schnell verfügbar und bereit sein. Aber ist das auch wirklich notwendig? Ich habe für mich entschieden hier einen anderen Weg zu gehen und an der Tradition festzuhalten. Und ich bin glücklich und begeistert von dieser Kamera. Ich liebe es, das Leben mit diesem kleinen Wunderwerk der Technik festzuhalten und genieße es dieses liebgewonnene Ritual des Filmens mit einer Kamera wieder ausleben und nicht mit einem "Brett vorm Kopf" zu hantieren. Mir war es sehr wichtig diese Haptik wiederzufinden, die mir vertraut und bekannt war. Wichtig war auch das die Kamera einen optischen Sucher besitzt, wenn man einen besonderen Augenblick einfangen möchte - das ist meistens viel besser, als über das relativ kleine Display zu agieren. Und es war es ebenso wichtig einen optischen Zoom zu haben, der über eine ausreichende Reichweite verfügt. Hier muss ich mich wohl noch mit den Feinheiten der Fokussierung beschäftigen, die bei der Motivwahl manchmal Schwierigkeiten macht. Denn der Funktionsumfang und die Möglichkeiten der Kamera sind überragend. Die Bildstabilisierung sucht ihresgleichen und funktioniert hervorragend. Und es gibt noch so viele Dinge, die noch erforscht werden müssen. Ausprobieren muss ich noch so viele Dinge, die noch im Gehäuse schlummern - die Zeitlupenfunktion und die diversen Fotofunktionen, die Effekte, die Nachtsichtfunktion und so weiter … Alles das war entscheidend für die Wahl dieser Kamera, die Momente für die Ewigkeit in einer Brillanz festhält, die ihresgleichen sucht. Die Filme werden auf SD-Karte gespeichert, für die meistens kein Adapter notwendig ist, da fast jeder PC oder Laptop über einen entsprechenden Slot verfügt. Danke Sony für dieses hervorragende Stück Technik, diese hervorragende Kamera und für die Entscheidung an Produkten festzuhalten, die ausgereift und vollendet durchdacht ein Stück Lebensqualität in die Freizeit zurückbringen, die man(n) schon fast verdrängt hatte … 😉

J’adorais mon caméscope. Un matin, il a tout simplement refusé de s’allumer. Je l’ai envoyé au seul centre agréé pour réparation. La carte mère a cramé. Il avait un an et demi. J’avais payé 1200 dollars pour l’acquérir. Soit 100 euros par mois. Le centre m’a proposé une réparation à presque 600 euros.

Dopo le prime prove sono molto soddisfatto. Qualità delle immagini eccellente, regolazioni automatiche ottime. Lo stabilizzatore dell'immagine è sempre all'altezza che già conoscevo in altri prodotti Sony, permette di usare il potentissimo zoom senza la minima vibrazione. Alcuni lamentano la qualità delle riprese 4K ma dev'essere dovuto all'uso di schede di memoria inadatte, vale a dire con velocità minima bassa, io uso schede adeguate (prestazione video V60) con ottimi risultati.

El unico defecto que le encuentro es que la pantalla de cristal liquido no es antireflejo y en muchas ocasiones veo mi cara reflejada en la pantalla dificultando la vision de lo ue estoy grabando

Uitstekende camera met goede stabilisatie

Deze camera vervangt een HD camera van flink wat jaren geleden. De kleuren zijn voller en levensechter, de scherpte UHD natuurlijker beter en de beeldstabilisatie is echt enorm verbeterd! De camera is wat groot en zwaarder, maar de kwaliteit is er ook naar. Het is nog geen professionele camera maar voor amateurgebruik echt uitstekend.

Had this camera for around 4 weeks now and I can honestly say what a brilliant bit of kit this is the zoom is well just amazing and the built in gimbal well that’s another massive bonus to this camera holds the image stable even when on full zoom ,the picture quality is fantastic,Also the still photos are great even thou it’s not built for that really but you wouldn’t think so,it maybe made back in 2016 but your be hard to find a better cam corder than the AX 53 in 2024 with what this camera as, only draw back is it comes with te small battery which depending on how you use the camera will last about a hour or just over and you need to purchase a couple of longer life battery’s apart from that Happy Days ⭐️

Ik heb de camera kort geleden gekocht. Een paar jaar geleden had ik dezelfde camera maar heb die toen ingeruild voor een SONY PXW-Z190. Maar ik miste toch de kleine handzame camera en heb er weer een aangeschaft.

Bon produit mais service client inefficace

Il marche très bien et j'en suis satisfait, très bonne qualité vidéo et photo. En revanche je ne met pas 5 étoile parce que je n'arrive pas à obtenir d'infos sur la compatibilité des cartes mémoire auprès du service client, je m'explique : Sur la notice il est préconisé d'utiliser une carte uhs3 u3 pour enregistrer à 100mbps mais impossible de trouver ce type de carte dans le commerce, il doit y avoir une erreur car une bonne uhs2 u3 devrait théoriquement être assez rapide pour supporter cette vitesse, mais avant d'acheter j'aimerais en être sûr. Seulement le service client m'a dit qu'il allait me répondre, ça va faire 3 semaines... Un jour peut être...

J'ai acheté ce camescope pour filmer des concerts. Il répond pleinement à l'utilisation très basique que je veux en faire, c'est à dire filmer en mode auto, dans le noir une scène bien éclairée, pouvoir zoomer en conservant une image de qualité, avoir un très bon son et ne pas être géné par les bruits environnants. Le seul problème rencontré et qui est très génant dans mon application est de ne pas avoir de durée d'enregistrement présente à l'écran, m'obligeant à avoir un chronomètre à côté, ce qui n'est pas pratique du tout. Dommage qu'il n'est pas de capuchon de protection pour les volets de l'objectif. La charge de la batterie via le camescope n'est pas non plus très pratique. Une charge via un chargeur est quand même plus confortable d'utilisation. Sinon RAS pour le moment.

I am a keen videographer of railways and after 16years my SR7 required replacement. After much research and assistance from The Sony Centre in Falkirk I decided to purchase the AX53. I have now completed a number of projects with great results. The camera is so easy to operate in auto mode and the zoom to wide transition is so smooth.

Just bought ... I'm already very happy, 'cause the camera has great FUllHD-HighFps / 4k features. Very simple to use; I'm quite sure I will buy an other unit, because we are going to use it combined during our sport competitions (Judo) to allow multi-angle-views. Great product, great lens !

Nun ja, eigentlich kann die FDR-AX53 alles, was man braucht, vor Allem die Bildstabilisierung kann sich sehen lassen. Allerdings verursacht die mitunter Störgeräusche, wenn man das Audio nicht im Griff hat, besser wäre ein externes Mikrofon. NightShot mit IR ist super, allerdings wird die optische Bildstabilisierung im 4K-Modus beschnitten, hier sind auch nur 25p möglich. Wer 5.1-Sound will, muss im AVCHD-Modus aufzeichnen, dann aber nur 50i bei Full-HD, das schränkt die Nutzung alles etwas ein. Einstellungen werden bei falschen Parametern gegraut und man muss etwas rumspielen. Bei dem Preis kann man damit aber leben, im Ergebnis erhält man super Filmaufnahmen auch bei wenig Licht. Die FDR-AX700 ist sicher in vielen Punkten besser, weil größerer Sensor, aber dafür doppelt so teuer und erheblich größer und schwerer. Die FDR-AX53 ist daher eigentlich ein guter Mittelwert mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Le fdr ax 53.est tout simplement un caméscope. Efficace je le recommande à ceux qui font de la vidéos. Et les photos sont parfaites. Utilisez un flash. Externe de type HVL f20m sa sera encore mieux..

Ich hatte die möglichkeit die AX53 4K ausgiebig zu Test, die tolle Bildqualität faziniert mich immer wieder, den Ton bekam durch die Anschaffung vom Sony ECM-GZ1M Gun Zoom Mikrofon einen "Anschub". Würde ich jederzeit wiederkaufen.

I have used this Handycam for a week now and having had several other makes in the recent past, this one is, as far as I can tell, pretty much the best value on the market. Using in full Auto delivers pro like results first time. add a rubber cup to the EVF and it works in strong sunlight too. Stabilisation is outstanding in 4K and HD. Picture quality is excellent and the still shots are pretty good too. 9/10 over all from me
