Sony hat dieses Produkt leider auslaufen lassen, was ich sehr bedauere. Ich habe wohl die letzte Gelegenheit für eine neue Kamera genutzt, um meine alten A-Mount-Objektive weiter nutzen zu können. Aber: die Kamera ist an sich einfach nur klasse! Es macht wieder Spaß zu fotografieren, weil diese Kamera den heutigen Erfordernissen viel eher entspricht als meine bisherige A580.

Über die Qualität der 99ii brauchen wir uns nicht zu unterhalten. Die ist super - Bedienung und Bildqualität hervorragend. Aber da für den A-Mount keine Objektive mehr entwickelt werden, würde ich sie mir nicht noch einmal kaufen. Das ist wirklich mehr als enttäuschend.

J'ai acheté ce boitier en remplacement du précédent boitier Alpha A99. C'est un très bon appareil avec des avancées substantielles par rapport au précédent boitier de la même version. L'équilibrage 5 axes, l'accroissement des zones de calcul de la sensibilité et la taille des fichiers images sont un très grand plus et permettent des recadrages en conservant une forte qualité des images.

Coming from the already excellent ILCA-77M2, the ILCA99M2 is absolutely brilliant, a superb piece of kit. Almost everything it could be, it is. A pleasure to use, great results. The big negative is that Sony have chosen to apparently abandon the A-mount format, driving unnecessary obsolescence and driving fans into the used market. This is disastrous for long term loyal Minolta/Konica-Minolta/Sony SLR fans, and disastrous for the environment, shipping incompatible replacement systems where progressive upgrades would have been less wasteful

Kamera gekauft, aber erst zu spät erfahren, dass ich hier ein teueres Produkt gekauft habe, dass von Sony nicht mehr unterstützt wird (A-Mount). Es gibt allso keine neuen Objektive, keine Updates etc. Ich würde die Kamera daher nicht mehr kaufen, sondern ein E-Mount-Modell! "Neues A-Mount Spitzenmodell" ist daher etwas irreführend. Daher auch nur 2 Sterne!

E' già un anno che utilizzo questo apparecchio e devo dire che è veramente ottimo, ha una buona ergonomia e produce ottime immagini. La qualità del sensore è veramente buona e anche la costruzione generale è veramente ottima. Peccato che Sony non abbia più aggiornato questa tipologia di macchine fotografiche, ma abbia continuato con l'aggiornamento delle sole mirrorless, secondo me questo tipo per molti utilizzi sarebbe preferibile.

Wenn auch dem A-Mount keine Zukunft prophezeit wird, habe ich (auch aufgrund meiner positiven Erfahrungen mit der a77ii) zum Kauf der a99ii entschlossen und liebe diese Kamera. Den neueren Modellen, empfinde ich sie in vielerlei Hinsicht überlegen. Die Tatsache jedoch, dass hier keine neuen Objektive nachrücken, ließ auch mich zusätzlich zu einem E-Mount Modell greifen.

Ich erwarte als international erfolgreicher und vielfach ausgezeichneter Fotograf, das bald ein A-Mount Nachfolgemodell in gleicher handlicher Größe mit wenigen neuen Features ergänzt folgen sollte. Im April 2020 gekauft, und war im Juli zur Rep. weil das Display schwarz blieb, nach einer Woche war die Kamera wieder von der Rep. zurück. Aber leider Anfang November war der gleiche Fehler schon wieder vorhanden, und ging wieder zur Reparatur. Mal sehen wie lang es diesmal funktioniert. Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht, hatte vorher Alpha 77 ii, und habe damit mehrere 1000 Bilder gemacht, OHNE Probleme.

Appareil très performant et complet. Cependant il est lourd, les menus déroulants sont encore plus "lourds" avec un autre sens, celui de peu fonctionnels et mal structurés. La touche principale "le joy stick" est peu pratique et capricieuse, voir fragile sur la durée. j'aurais aimé un flash intégré, comme sur mon alpha 77 II, sans être pro, cela rend parfois de grands services.

Durch das Alpha-Mount sind auch die alten Objektive von Minolta noch verwendbar, auch können die APC-Objektive verwendet werden. Volle Performance erhält man mit den Vollformat ZA Objektiven bei hoher Auflösung bis ins Detail. Vielleicht aufgrund der Größe nicht mehr jedermanns Sache, für mich jedoch ein Volltreffer.

He dudado durante mucho tiempo si vender mi material con montura tipo A y pasarme al nuevo sistema sin espejo o dar otro paso más hacia adelante y comprar esta cámara. Desde que probé una SLT (tuve antes dos SLT), no quiero nada que no tenga visor electrónico. Está claro que al final opté por la a99II y me alegro mucho de haberlo hecho. Aunque hace unos meses que la compré, no he tenido ocasión de sacar muchas fotografías, pero hasta ahora puedo decir que cumple con mis expectativas y que las revisiones que he leído no han exagerado nada. Una máquina que saca todo el partido a mis objetivos y accesorios. Desde luego que me la volvería a comprar y la recomendaría a todos aquellos que tiene un sistema A y que quieran dar un paso más allá. Espero que Sony no se olvide de nosotros y que siga, aunque sea ocasionalmente, sacando productos para esta montura.

La adquirí hace poco más de un mes y lo poco que la he utilizado no deja de sorprenderme. Venía de una A900 y era reacio a los visores electrónicos...pero con la A99 II me he convertido en un creyente convencido :-) Es cierto que las baterías duran algo menos, pero por conectividad, versatilidad y todo lo que ofrece, merece la pena el sacrificio. Es mucho más manejable que la A900 y la ubicación del botón de encendido es mucho más funcional que el clásico en la parte trasera. El enfoque es una pasada y mucho más preciso. Por ahora estoy encantado con mi adquisición...y aunque tiene un precio elevado para un aficionado a la fotografía que lo tiene como hobby y no como profesión, vale lo que cuesta.

Takes my beautiful alpha mount Zeiss and G lenses as well as all my legacy glass from Minolta. Brilliant low light performance, super resolution and some slick features. Very quick. HVL58 flash works a treat but not sure if I’ll need it much! P Mode is very good, no particular over exposure, colour rendition in standard mode is frankly beautiful. Resolution was not important to me (I was happy with 24MP), but FF was. If you pixel peak make sure your techniques are sound, because any slight shake or misfocus may lead to you being disappointed. Get it right though and you’ll be blown away. Movement pictures (Kids running, swinging jumping) sometimes have weird artefacts... not sure if firmware (aggressive processing and compensation?), sensor, technical issue or technique... need to experiment more. Will update in a couple of weeks... if you hear nothing, I’ve probably figured it out. Generally comfortable, intuitive and easy, esp if already a Sony Alpha user, and never be afraid of Manual mode, the electronic view finder is a real treat and makes life easier, and you know instantly that you have a good shot.. before and as you shoot. You will need some High capacity Class 3 SD as 32GB will fill up quickly! Spare batteries too, as a battery may not last all day, even if you are being casual. Disappointing on amount of attention A Mount is getting as latest firmware is v1.01, but for A9 (e-mount) they are introducing Pet Eye AF, and are on v6.0! Shame really because the power of this camera is amazing and I reckon can be squeezed more, and the alpha mount lenses fantastic... (and an expensive investment I don’t want to ditch). I paid £2400 from London Camera Exchange, which is about the same price as my flagship A900 in 2008. So a veritable bargain compared to history and comparative Nikon’s and Canons, and definitely a real competitor in pro, and serious amateur market. So well done Sony and thanks, not perfect (there may be a good reason to upgrade to A99 mk4 when you decide), but overall better than brilliant and retains me as a dedicated alpha mount fan. The A900 a long friend of many adventures got ill in August, and is probably unrepeatable... long live my new friend.

Im A-Mount nach wie vor das Mass der Dinge und liegt -zumindest für mich - besser mit großen Objektiven in der Hand als die A9. Wenn man noch viele gute A-Mount Objekive im Bestand hat und AF-C + volle Serienbildgeschwindikeit will aktuell die bessere Option zur A9.

Un grand boitier qui permet une haute qualité

Cela fait maintenant quelques temps que je me sers de ce boitier. Équipé de Minolta (dans le temps…) argentiques puis numériques, j’ai possédé presque toute la gamme Sony, il me reste le A77II et ses objectifs. Tout d’abord, j’ai retrouvé tout de suite mes habitudes et mes préférences sur ce boitier: les menus et les préférences sont presque identiques et l’on s’y retrouve bien. L’encombrement et le poids du A99II sont pratiquement identiques avec le 77II. C’est surprenant quand on sait que la capteur doit être bien plus grand! Là où j’appréhendais la suite c’est avec l’utilisation des objectifs APSC du A77II sur le A99II. Ils sont parfaitement utilisables sur ce boitier qui recadre automatiquement, mais la sanction tombe vite: la définition passe de 42MP à …18MP! La meilleure définition sur le A99II est obtenue avec mes vieux objectifs Minolta: les 28mm f20,8 et 50mm f1,7. Le 50 mm macro et le 50-600mm de Sigma et surtout mon cher 105mm macro ainsi que le très bon 70-200mm de Tamron, m’offrent un plein format de 42 MP fabuleux, surtout d’un grand intérêt lorsqu’on recadre. Les autres objectifs tels le 16-50 et le 28mm macro de Sony, le 16-350 Tamron et surtout le Tokina 11-16 (qui n’est même pas pris en compte: l’image est presque circulaire dans le viseur!!) resteront sur le A77II qui restera mon parfait second boîtier. Une évidence pour Sony qui ne prend pas la peine d’associer à un pareil boitier les optiques qui ne sont pas maison. Certes les objectifs anciens et même plus récent n’offrent pas la mise au point automatique à détection de phase hybride. Mais il y a très peu d’objectifs qui le font et je verrai si je peux m’offrir ce genre de cailloux plus tard. Bref une belle et grande famille de compagnon photo, qui est désormais, de toute évidence, délaissée par Sony au profit de la monture « E », mais qui pour moi restera par la force des choses de mon âge, définitivement ma seule famille. Les images sont exceptionnelles et je reprends plaisir à travailler RAW, car cela vaut le coup avec une telle définition.

Arrivo da 5 anni di alpha 99 decisamente migliorata nella velociti di messa a fuoco riduzione notevole del rumore ad alti iso trovo il pulsante di selezione principale un pochino scomodo a confronto della 99 aggiunte delle funzioni sul focus a mio giudizio molto utili non posso dire niente sulla qualita video perche non la uso(provero anche questo) mi ritengo soddisfatto della scelta fatta mi auguro che si comporti come la 99 mai un problema (un mulo in tutti i sensi)

Die a99 II ist ein würdiger Nachfolger zur a99: ohne Umgewöhnung werden die Fotos durchweg dramatisch besser. Am meisten erstaunt mich der hervorragende Stabilisator: es gelingen sogar scharfe Fotos mit 1/6 aus der Hand (Vorgänger mit Mühe 1/13). Nach den ersten 1000 Fotos ist klar, dass einfach weniger Auslösungen aufgrund verringertem Ausschuss nötig sein werden. So bring die Hobbyfotografie wieder deutlich mehr Spaß. Bedauerlich ist, dass GPS wegrationalisiert wurde. Negativ sind auch die Festpreispolitik sowie schlechte Verfügbarkeit dieser Kamera über Jahre, denn so wird dieses Topmodell als A-Mount Vertreter mit einem faden Beigeschmack belastet, was völlig unnötig wäre.

I switched to Sony after trying the fiancé's A58 and finding that I really liked the fact that image stabilisation was built into the camera rather than the lenses. I bought myself a used A99 and found myself preferring that to my Canon gear. Since getting my A99 II I have been able to take the kind of shots that I was unable to with my previous Canon camera because I have good lenses and the stabilisation rather than having to set up a tripod. The camera is friendly and easy to use. There are some great lenses out there which are affordable (Minolta 50mm f/1.7 for example) and give impressive results. The camera itself is the perfect size for me and it feels very comfortable to use over long periods. I am currently using my camera for wildlife shots, it performs well in low light conditions (if I concentrate on my breathing etc I can still take shots without a tripod!

I love this camera, I don't love the lack of support since it was released, upgrades have only been applied to a few lens. Since then there has not been any new updated lens. Also E-Mount cameras have had many upgrades to firmware, whereas this camera is still waiting for an update. I doubt there will be a firmare update as Sony's focus is on E-Mount. This is possibly the last A-Mount camera you will see.

Opted to purchase the a99ii for it's resolution. I like to crop in a lot and this camera allows for some seriously tight crops. Overall, it's just beautiful to use. I've wanted this camera since before it eventually came on sale, I saw the basic reviews, I read the specs, I saw Various write ups etc - But none of those mattered.... I wanted to make my own mind up (also I couldn't afford it at the time anyway). fast forward to 2019 and after finally getting the funds together there was another possible contender - The A9 appeared and threw my mind into turmoil, do I go E-Mount with an A-Mount adaptor or stick with my original choice - The A99II!?. Only one way to find out. I Went to the one shop in London that had both in stock, as soon as I picked up the A9 I immediately put it down - it was far to light imo. I didn't and don't care that it had the newest tech and the newest lenses, where as the A99II felt perfect, it was weighty, it just about fits my big ole hands and adding the vertical grip made it absolutely perfect. For me this was the perfect upgrade from my battered but still working A900. I've now had the A99II for a few weeks now and the images are perfect - even with my old Minolta lenses. 4K video on this is beautiful too. Everything about this camera is perfect, it's solid build, design, weight,the specs, speed of focusing, low light capabilities are fantastic too. The Perfect purchase.

Nach einem Monat kann ich sagen, daß schon ein Leistungssprung ist. Bestechend ist die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit. Nachteilig ist das fehlende GPS- Modul. Die Verbindung mit dem Telefon ist fummlig und kostet viel Strom.

Pocas diferencias en menús, configuraciones y aspecto físico de mi antigua alpha 77. Tuve que utilizar el micro ajuste AF para mi sony 70-400 en un principio, no enfocaba bien. Gran calidad en fotografía a distancias largas. Me queda mucho por probarla.

Zugegeben, ich hab' die Kamera erst seit 2 Wochen, aber da ich von der (leider defekt gegangenen) Alpha 850 komme, habe ich mich schon sehr gut in die grundlegenden Eigenschaften eingearbeitet. Die Qualität der ersten Aufnahmen ist hervorragend, das Handlung sehr gut (mir liegt die 99 Mark II besser in der Hand als die 7er und 9er-Serie) und die Geschwindigkeit ist für mich als fortgeschrittenen Amateur mehr als ausreichend. Ich freu' mich auf meine sommerlichen Fotoexkursionen :)

I bought the a99ii reading a lot of reviews and to say I’m disappointed is an under statement,the previous camera was the a99 with a Sony 70-400 lens was fantasticly sharp,the rx10iv is beating the new combo hands down,wish I kept the a99,less hassle,with better results.

I photograph wildlife so wanted a second camera body to avoid the need to change lenses. I was intending to buy a second A77 Mk2 but was invited to explore an upgrade to the A99 Mk2.... I bought it and have recently used it on safari.... the quality of photos it produces are stunning. The auto setting produces great results yet the equipment allows for individual freedom in manual etc. It was especially pleasing to find quality equipment that would not need an adaptor for the wide range of A type lenses I have already invested in. There are a host of settings (one friend compared the options to that you'd find flying a plane) many of which you may not need or want (but they can be switched off). You need high quality cards due to the fast speeds the camera can deal with. Overall, for a top end amateur, I'm not sure you could get better than this. More specialist and pricey than some of the competition but if you are serious about your hobby and pleasure worth it.
