Great camera

I bought this two weeks ago and am still getting used to it. I have upgraded from the A7III. The menu is extensive and takes a little time to get used to, but once you have gone through it a couple of times, it is straightforward to navigate. The button layout is much the same as my old A7III, with the exception of the mode dial beneath the PASM wheel. Memory card/s, I started off trying my old 64GB SDXC card, but it was not up to the job, so I had to buy a 480GB CFexpress card, which is not cheap, but will handle a 30 fps frame rate. The camera has two card slots, and I do like the feature that allows you to save on both cards simultaneously, so you get an instant backup. The SDXC card is installed with the terminals facing the rear of the camera, whilst the CFexpress card is installed with the terminals facing the front of the camera. The EVF is crystal clear, and I did not need to alter the setting straight out of the box. This camera has the new Sony NP-SA100 battery, which has a 2670mAh capacity and is physically bigger than the previous NP-FZ100, which has a capacity of 2280mAh and fits the older Sony A7's. The supplied charger will charge two batteries at a time, which is a nice touch, and I will get around to buying another one. I also bought the battery grip. So far, I have only used two of the "G" lenses: the 24-105 G OSS and the 90 Macro G OSS. Both were great, and the autofocus was fast and spot on. I'm still settling into the camera, but so far it has performed well and has a heap of features which I still want to try out.

No lead to connect charging station supplied.

Bought this very expensive camera for its features. But have been very disappointed that I can not charge the battery in the new charger. All it does is flash green lights. Now I have to try and buy a lead that will work as none of the leads I already have work. The camera charges fine by plugging direct into it. I want to charge using the new charge station as we have a caravan and do not want to have the camera out on display or floating around on the worktop's.

Ich habe schon viele Sony Kameras verwendet. Von der NEX5-N und A300 auf die A6400 und A77 ein Upgrade gemacht. Dazwischen lagen "Welten". Irgendwann beschloss ich auf das Vollformat zu wechseln. Ich fotografiere zumeist Landschaften, Architektur. Der Unterschied von der A7M2 auf die A7M3 war schon sehr deutlich zu spüren. Alles wirkte flüssiger, schneller. Eine A7R3 wurde ergänzt da mir der bessere Sucher und das Plus an Pixeln zusagten. Dann kam die A7R5 auf den Markt und ich war evtl. der allererste Käufer bei meinem Fachhändler. Alle verbesserten Features gegenüber der A7R4 und natürlich auch der eigenen A7R3 waren der Grund. Nicht das Mehr an Pixeln. Die beiden Kameras der 3.Generation wurden verkauft und zur A7R5 gesellte sich die A7C. Alle neuen Errungenschaften die durch meine eigene Vollformat-Zeit die Freude am fotografieren steigerten hinterließen aber auch eine kleine Lücke die ich bei der A77 nicht verspürte. Geschwindigkeit bzw Fotos / Sekunde. Die Modelle A1M2 / A9M3 will ich mir nicht leisten. Die A7R6 füllt nun die o.g. Lücke aus. Für mich persönlich ist dieses Modell beinahe perfekt. Sie hat eigentlich nur zu viele Pixel.

Im Vergleich zur Vorgängerin, für mich persönlich, ein stimmiges Upgrade und ich habe ein paar nützliche Optionen mehr, PreCapture, der starkes Sensor und Verbesserungen bei Autofokus und der restlichen Technik machen mir, in meinen Anwendungsszenarien, das Leben einfacher. Ob die R VI im Vergleich zur R V jetzt Evolution oder Revolution ist und ob sie den doch nicht geringen Aufpreis wert ist, soll jeder für sich selber entscheiden, ich bereue die Entscheidung nicht.

Bisher bei beeegten Motiven kein Bild mit exakter Schärfe möglich auch mit verkürzter Belichtung! sehr enttäuschend. Würde für Wildlife nicht nochmals ksufen, leider meine A1 dafür eingetauscht. Max. Bildrate nur mit komprimierten RAW möglich. Motiverkennung und Motiverfassung in Wildlife nur mit kleinen Fokusfeldern erkennbar und damit nicht zufriedenstellend.

Hervorragende brilliante Bildqualität selbst bei schwachem Licht, vorausgesetzt man verwendet die geeigneten Objektive. Äusserst flexiblel einstellbaar, wenn man die Kamera so konfiguriert, wie man sie haben möchte, was bei dem umfangreichen Menü mit einer überrreichen Funktionsfülle schon einen Weile benötigt. Wenn man es schneller haben möchte, dann greift man zur "Automatik-Einstellung" die mehr ist als eine "Automatik" , da sie Szenen erkennt, bewertet und die Belichtungsparameter entsprechend einstellt, Auch Filmaufnahmen in sonniger und kontrastreicher Umgebung stellen kein Problem dar, obwohl die Verwendung eines ND Filters dennoch ratsam ist Die "Automatik" ist kein Vergleich mit einer Automatik "von früher". Die Datenmengen sind bei entsprechend gewählter Einstellung naturgemäss sehr gross , der Aufwand für die Speicherung in der Kamera und deren Auslagerung ausserhalb naturgemäss daher auch.Der Griff und Handhabung sind sehr gut. Da ich die Kamera noch nicht sehr lange habe, fällt mir bislang keine Kritik ein,

Ich habe die R7 Mark VI vor knapp 14 Tagen gekauft. Sie hat die M V abgelöst, da ich mit den Ergebnissen bei Wildlife am Ende nicht zufrieden war. Insbesondere Vögel im Flug waren bei großen Distanzen verwaschen. Sehr gut finde ich die optische Rückmeldung bei Verwendung des elektronischen Verschlusses. Warum Sony den mechan. Verschlusses nicht auf mind. 15 Fotos angehoben hat, bleibt mir ein Rätsel. Denn die 10 p/Sec. bei wildlife sind definitiv zu wenig. Wir freunden uns also step by step immer mehr an. Der Augenautofokus wurde ebenfalls auf ein besseres Niveau gebracht und stellt renomierte Wettbewerbsprodukte in den Schatten.

I'm generally happy with it. I wanted it particularly because it has two features my A7Riv lacked, namely focus bracketing and precapture. Precapture is great. Focus bracketing is a big disappointment because it's so slow. It runs at 2-3 frames/second, where friends' cameras (eg Olympus) run at close to 10. They can do handheld focus bracketed shots of insects and I still can't, which is very frustrating.

Sehr gute Kamera, bin sehr zu frieden. Die einzigen Punkte die mir noch fehlen würde, wäre eine noch kürzere Verschlusszeit als 1/8000 und das Display könnte langsam echt ein OLED sein um mit dem super EVF zu harmonieren. Ansonsten Top Bildqualität und Autofokus.

Nicht nur der neue Stacked-Sensor auch der verbesserte Sucher, die Precapture-Funktion und die höhere Akku-Kapazität sind mir das Upgrade von dem Vorgängermodell wert. Das fehlende S-RAW lässt sich durch die Möglichkeit auch in APS-C zu fotografieren teilweise kompensieren. In diesem Modus ist die Auslesegeschwindigkeit und damit verbleibender Rolling-Shutter nochmal besser. Für Wildlife/Birding optimal! Für extreme High-Speed-Aktion bleibt die A9III erste Wahl. Je l'attendais avec impatience. J'avais un Sony A7R5 qui était très bien mais l'A7R6 avec son capteur empilé et sa rafale à 30 images seconde et sa pré-capture fait des miracles pour la capture des oiseaux. La haute définition permet de zoomer dans la photo car on n'est toujours trop court quand il s'agit de prendre des animaux. Je ne regrette pas cet achat.

L'evoluzione naturale della serie "R". Riceve tutto l'upgrade necessario per essere un macchina in linea con le performance top della sua categoria. Non c'è da paragonarla alla A1 MK II sono due distinte macchine. Quello che mi sento di dire oggi dopo aver avuto tutte le "R" che ora si può fare lo "sport" con più tranquillità e quelle nuove funzioni della pre cattura e scatto in elettronico fino a 30fps è quanto necessario per farti avere un ottimi prodotto. Ci sono tante altre novità che vanno utilizzate per capire la loro utilità! Soddisfatto.

Twee weken a7r5 vervangen door a7r6 ik gebruik hem voornamelijk voor landschap en portret fotos maar ook voor actie fotos en die zijn met 30 fps veel beter met een veel betere autofocus traking, heel handig is dat je nu met de mode dail op "*" 10 voorinstelingen kan oproepen met een omschrijving 10 voor foto 10 voor film en twee maal 10 voor S&Q.

Erg fijne camera en grotendeels een evolutie tov de RV, maar op aantal beelden per seconde een revolutie. Erg blij mee, omdat het nu echt een alleskunner is en het ligt fijn in de hand. Zeer uitgebreide menu’s / instellingen, dus dit vergt tijd en moeite van de koper, maar wil je het beste dan heb je het er voor over.

Ik heb de camera direct besteld toen hij leverbaar was. Hiervoor had ik de Nikon Z8, ook een heel goede camera maar geen seconde spijt van de overstap. De autofocus is beduidend beter en sneller. De accu gaat ook een stuk langer mee, wat een groot pluspunt is. Tegen de ergonomie van de Z8 kan hij niet op dat moet ik wel eerlijk zeggen. Maar ondanks dat (en de minder fijne menu indeling) kan ik iedereen de A7R VI van harte aanbevelen. Top camera!

Ich kaufte seit 13 Jahren alle a7R Modelle (außer die IV). Sony schafft es immer wieder das "haben will" bei mir auszulösen. Brauchte ich sie nach der a7RV wirklich? Eigentlich nicht. Das war schon eine überragende Kamera. Aber ich wollte sie. Als voller hybrid Shooter, der sehr viel sportlichen Content filmt und fotografiert fühle ich mich durch die Verbesserungen allerdings voll angesprochen. Die 30fps mit Pre-Capure machen schon einen gewaltigen Unterschied. Von dieser Geschwindigkeit profitiert eben auch meine Videografie. 8K endlich auch aus der Hand nutzbar. 4K 100fps Slomo. Der Rolling Shutter ist jetzt echt nicht mehr wahrnehmbar. Liegt jetzt gleichauf mit meiner ZV-E1 Zweitkamera. Die verschiedene Videoformate sind erstmal etwas unübersichtlich. Welches hat nun Crop und welches nicht? Hier wurde ich im Internet fündig. Nach meinem ersten Shooting würde ich behaupten der Autofokus klebt jetzt wirklich deutlich besser an meinem Motiv, auch wenn jemand durch's Bild läuft. Der neue Akku scheint sehr gut zu sein. Habe ihn noch nicht wirklich ausgereizt. Dazu bin ich heilfroh, dass das neue Doppelladegerät mitgeliefert wurde. Ich habe von der Generation a7RII auf die a7RIII schon mal einen Akkuwechsel mitgemacht. Damals war es allerdings eine echte Revolution in Sachen Leistung. Jetzt jetzt ist vor allem die Ladepower zeitgemäß. Der Softwarestand im Auslieferungszustand scheint auch erstmal keine Bugs zu haben. Zumindest habe ich noch keinen erlebt. Anders als die a7V bei Auslieferung, was ich von einem guten Freund mitbekommen hatte bei Veröffentlichung. Ich bin erstmal sehr Glücklich und zufrieden damit.

Got this as soon as it was released and went immediately to Paris on a short break. The camera was exceptional, comfortable to use and all the new features work amazingly well in “real life” rather than just on a spec page. Back home the photos are stunning. Coming from the A7R V, the VI has been a great upgrade. The V was the first in the line to impress me with its autofocus, but the VI really steps it on, detecting subjects that are much smaller in the frame, and feeling faster again. The body is more refined, and it’s even more customisable.

Gegenüber der R5 sind noch einige gravierende Verbesserungen eingebracht worden. Zunächst einmal ist die Kamera mit Akku leichter vom Gewicht her. Dadurch ist es für mich als Freihand-Fotograf erheblch besser im Handling. Insbesondere in schnellen Bildfolgen bei schnellen Motiven (z.B. Kolibri im Flug) kann ich nun mit dem Autofokus unterstützt scharfe Bilder machen ohne Unmengen an Ausschuss zu produzieren. Mein nächstes Projekt wird dann das Ablichten von Libellen im freien Flug sein. Ich bin sehr gespannt auf das Ergebnis. Die Programmierung der Kamera in Standard-Einstellungen ist erheblich verbessert worden. Das gefällt mir sehr gut. Da ich oftmal Fotos "aus der Hüfte" mache, habe ich nun einen superschnellen Autofokus sofort parat. Ich werde ggf. hier später ergänzen, wenn noch mehr Expertise da ist. Leider ist noch immer das Tasten-Prblem nicht gelöst. Ich habe oft mehrere Kameras dabei. Die R6 habe ich dann am Halsgurt umgebunden. Wenn ich mit meiner Tele-Kamera fotografiere und mich ungünstig bewege, dann verstellen sich an der Kamera schon mal die Einstellungen, weil unbewusst tasten gedrückt werden. Wenn ich dann beim nächsten Mal die Kamera nutze, dann sind manche Einstellungen verstellt. Das ist ärgerlich, wenn ich dann zB ISO 20.000 habe statt 100. Hier wäre eine Tastensperre-Funktion direkt per Knopfdruck eine feine Sache. Aber wie gesagt, technisch ist die Kamera das Non-Plus-Ultra!

Genial aber kein a1 II Killer

Ich habe die Kamera am 29.5. zugeschickt bekommen. Zudem gibt es seit letzten Freitag auch den RAW Converter bei Lightroom, so dass man inzwischen die Kamera ganz gut beurteilen kann. Mit der a7r V, die ich auch mal hatte und mich sehr frustriert hatte (zu langsamer Read Out, keine wirklich guten Ergebnisse bei schnellen Objekten wie Tieren) ist sie m.E. gar nicht so richtig vergleichbar. Die neue kann sehr vieles spürbar besser. Der Augen AF sitzt selbst auf weit entfernten Lebewesen immer korrekt, die Objekterkennung ist für eine SONY Kamera wirklich richtig gut (besser als bei der a1 II), in der Objektverfolgung (schnelle Tiere wie Eisvögel, oder Sportfotografie) würde ich sie unterhalb der a1 II (übrigens meine Hauptkamera) einordnen, weshalb sie für mich kein a1 Killer ist. Dies konnte ich am Wochenende mit einem kleinen schwarzen Pudel (mit fast schwarzen Augen) testen, wenn der sich schnell bewegt, dann erziele ich mit der a1 II deutlich mehr gute bzw. sehr gute Ergebnisse. Für normalere Motive wie Menschen, Kinder, die meisten Säugetiere und natürlich Landschafts- und Studiofotografie ist sie dagegen mindestens genauso geeignet wie die deutlich teurere a1 II. Im Rauschverhalten würde ich sie (vor Bildbearbeitung) unterhalb der a1 II einordnen, aber jedoch besser als die alte a7r V. Im Bildbearbeitungsprozess stelle ich inzwischen immer öfter fest, dass mehr MP von Vorteil sind (zumindest mit dem Lightroom Entrauschen), hier gleicht die a7r VI mit den vielen MP ihren Nachteil wieder aus. Man sollte jedoch für eine effiziente Arbeitsweise einen sehr leistungsfähigen Rechner haben (Apple M3 ProMax oder besser), da man hier natürlich die vielen MP merkt. Dies ist sogar ein signifikanter Unterschied zur a1 II, obwohl diese größere Dateigrößen hat (ca. 100mb vs 90mb bei der a7r VI). Bei der a7r VI gibt es im Vergleich zur a1 II keine verlustfreien Bilddateien mehr, denn diese müssten eigentlich > 130mb groß sein. Im Videobereich finde ich sie nah dran an der a1 II. Obwohl ich die Videofunktion sehr intensiv, konnte ich im Vergleich zur a1 II echt keinen Unterschied für mich feststellen, was ich sehr schätze. Fazit: ein perfekter Allrounder, der für die meisten Anwendungen die perfekte Lösung ist. Zieht aktuell noch den Kürzeren im Vgl. zur a1 II bei sehr schnellen Objekten, aber vielleicht sind bei der Objektverfolgung später noch Verbesserungen über Firmware Updates möglich. Die einzige Funktion, die ich vermisse: 8K/60fps bei Video.
