The RAW data file cannot be opened or viewed on a computer.
It is recommended to use the supplied Image Data Converter software to view RAW data files on a computer. In addition to displaying the RAW data files, image adjustments and conversion of RAW files to the common formats TIFF and JPEG is available.
However, if you are using other software like Adobe® Photoshop® Elements or Lightroom®, make sure the software is updated with all necessary plug-ins to support RAW files. Visit the support website for your software to get the latest updates and plug-ins.
IMPORTANT: For computers running the Windows® 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista® operating system, a RAW driver is available that will allow RAW data files to open and display in Windows Explorer or Windows Photo Gallery in the same way as JPEG files. To download this driver, click the link below. Then select your country, type in your camera/camcorder model name and then click in the[Downloads] tab to select the driver.
