How to lock or unlock the Reader Digital Book?

To lock the Reader™ device: 

1. Press the Home button.
2. Open the Settings menu. To open the Settings menu, use the appropriate steps for your model:
   
   PRS-T1: Tap the right arrow (> ) to go to the second page of the Home menu and then under System, tap Settings.
   PRS-T2: Tap Applications, and then in the Applications menu, tap Settings.
    
3. On the Settings screen, tap System Management.
4. On the System Management screen, tap Device Lock.
5. In the Enter 4-Digit PIN screen, enter a 4-digit pin.
   
   
    
6. Tap Continue.
7. In the Confirm 4-Digit PIN screen, re-enter your 4-digit pin.
   
   
    
8. Tap OK.
9. The Device Lock option will now indicate that it is On. Your screen will look like this:
   
   

To unlock the Reader. 

1. Press the Home button.
2. Open the Settings menu. To open the Settings menu, use the appropriate steps for your model:
   
   PRS-T1: Tap the right arrow (> ) to go to the second page of the Home menu and then under System, tap Settings.
   PRS-T2: Tap Applications, and then in the Applications menu, tap Settings.
    
3. On the Settings screen, tap System Management.
4. On the System Management screen, tap Device Lock.
5. In the Enter 4-Digit PIN screen, enter your 4-digit pin.
   
   
    
6. Tap Continue.
7. Device Lock will now be off.
