The Screen Reader is not functioning properly on any YouTube items.

    Apologize for any inconvenience issue. The Screen Reader cannot handle the spec of talking method on the new YouTube. Currently, this issue is under investigation with related parties.

    Enable the TalkBack setting is on for using the TalkBack function on the YouTube. After using YouTube, might need to disable the TalkBack function.

    If Using Android Nougat

    Steps to enable the TalkBack function:

    1. Press the Home button on the remote control. You will hear Home screen.
    2. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear settings icon Settings.*
    3. Press the Enter button. You will hear Channel setup.
    4. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Accessibility.
    5. Press the Enter button. You will hear Subtitle.
    6. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear TalkBack off.
    7. Press the Enter button. You will hear Enable.
    8. Press the Enter button. You will hear OK.
    9. Press the Enter button. You will hear TalkBack on.
    10. Press the Back button to leave the TalkBack function. When you enable the TalkBack function, you will hear TalkBack on.

     

    Steps to launch on YouTube:

    1. Press the Mic button and say YouTube. You can launch YouTube. 

     

     Steps to disable the TalkBack function:

    1. Press the Home button the remote control. You will hear Home screen.
    2. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear settings icon Settings* is selected. Press on, press shift, press enter to activate.
    3. Press the Enter button. You will hear Channel setup.
    4. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Accessibility, Press on, press shift, press enter to activate.
    5. Press the Enter button. You will hear Subtitle.
    6. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear TalkBack on, Press on, press shift, press enter to activate.
    7. Press the Enter button. You will hear Enable.
    8. Press the Enter button. You will hear OK, in list 2 items.
    9. Press the Enter button. You will hear Enable.

    10. Press the Back button to leave the TalkBack. When you can disable the TalkBack, you can hear TalkBack off. 

    If Using Android Marshmallow

    Steps to enable the TalkBack function:

    1. Press the Home button the remote control to move the Home screen.
    2. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear settings iconSettings.*
    3. Press the Enter button. You will hear Channel setup.
    4. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Date & Time.
    5. Press the Right button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Accessibility.
    6. Press the Enter button. You will hear Subtitle.
    7. Press the Down  button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Services.
    8. Press the Enter button. You will hear Screen reader on.
    9. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear TalkBack off.
    10. Press the Enter button. You will hear State off.
    11. Press the Enter button. You will hear On.
    12. Press the Enter button. You will hear Disagree.
    13. Press the Right button on the remote control to select the Agree. You can hear Agree.
    14. Press the Enter button. You will hear TalkBack on.
    15. Press the Back button on the remote control to leave the TalkBack. You can hear TalkBack on.

     

    Steps to launch YouTube:

    1. Press the Mic and talk YouTube. You can launch the YouTube.

     

    Steps to disable the TalkBack function:

    1. Press the Home button the remote control to move the Home screen. You can hear Home screen.
    2. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear settings icon Settings.*
    3. Press the Enter button. You will hear Channel setup.
    4. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Date & Time.
    5. Press the Right button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Accessibility.
    6. Press the Enter button. You will hear Subtitle.
    7. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear Services.
    8. Press the Enter button. You will hear Screen reader on.
    9. Press the Down button continuously on the remote control until you can hear TalkBack on.
    10. Press the Enter button. You will hear State on.
    11. Press the Enter button. You will hear On.
    12. Press the Down button on the remote control to select the Off. You can hear Off.
    13. Press the Enter button. You will hear Alert stop TalkBack.
    14. Press the Right button on the remote control twice to select the OK. You can hear OK button.
    15. Press the Enter button.
    16. Press the Back button to leave the TalkBack. You can hear TalkBack off. 

    NOTES:

    • Condition: User has already enabled the Screen Reader
    • Once both Screen reader and TalkBack are on  you may hear both commands simultaneously
