Software update enhancing security on 2015, 2016 and 2017 Sony's Android TVs
Dear Valued Customer,
We have released software updates to enhance the security of certain BRAVIA televisions to address a potential security vulnerability with the mmap function, which is one of the Unix system calls. Currently there is no confirmed method to attack the vulnerability.
If your television has not been updated automatically, please download and install the latest update version.
Resolution
If your television is set to automatically receive updates when connected to the internet, it should have already been updated. This is the default setting for the Affected Models.
To verify that your television has been updated, please visit the Downloads section of your model's product page. Click the Firmware update link for details about how to check the software version. If your television has not already been updated, please follow the instructions to download and install the update.
