What are DVB-T2 and HEVC MAIN 10?
DVB-T2 is an abbreviation for Digital Video Broadcasting — Second Generation Terrestrial, while HEVC MAIN 10 is the 10-bit version of the High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) video transcoding standard. Due to changes in the broadcasting networks, terrestrial digital television signals will eventually switch to different video codecs. Any functions related to Digital TV will only work in countries or areas where DVB-T / DVB-T2 digital terrestrial signals are broadcast or where you have access to a compatible service. You can contact your local service provider for more information.
What are the compatible DVB-T2 Tuner Sony TVs?
All Sony TVs from the 2017 line-up and upwards are compatible with a DVB-T2 tuner and HEVC MAIN 10 video codecs. Some 2014 models and every 2015 - 2016 model is compatible if they are updated with the latest software. There are only a few model exceptions per annual line-up until 2019. TVs released after 2019 are all compatible. All European series and exceptions are listed below for your reference. Models purchased outside of Europe may not be DVB-T2 compatible.
If you have a compatible TV but are unable to receive a signal, please re-tune your TV.
