The front display on the Soundbar shows DTS, when playing DTS:X content on a Blu-ray Disc Player

    Depending on your connection or settings, whether you can playback the content with DTS:X format, or how the front panel displays the audio format varies.

    If DTS appears on the Sound Bar front panel display even when DTS:X content is being played, make sure to use these connection methods:

    • The Sound Bar is connected to a Blu-ray Disc Player using an HDMI cable
    • The Sound Bar is connected to a TV via the HDMI eARC port, using an HDMI cable 

    The following methods do not allow you to play DTS:X even when DTS:X content is playing from Blu-ray Disc Player:

    • The Sound Bar is connected to a Blu-ray Disc Player using an optical digital cable
    • The Sound Bar is connected to a TV HDMI ARC port) using HDMI cable

    Summarised, you need an HDMI cable and an eARC HDMI port to successfully play DTS:X
     

    Settings that display DTS even though the audio is decoded to DTS:X

    The following settings display DTS on the front panel even if DTS:X content is playing. Regardless of what is shown on the display, the audio is decoded to DTS:X:

    • Sound Mode is set to STANDARD or CINEMA
    • Sound Mode is set to MUSIC, and Immersive Audio Enhancement is set to ON
