Thank you for your continued interest in Sony products.
It has come to our attention that some WI-SP510 units may experience an issue where the headset stops powering on, which can be due to water corrosion.
To address this issue, Sony has decided to extend the warranty of the affected WI-SP510 units until 30 November 2022. If your headset is confirmed as being amongst the impacted units, as identified by its serial number, and you encounter this issue, you can exchange your affected WI-SP510 unit. Please check if your unit meets the eligibility criteria listed below.

Only a limited number of WI-SP510 headsets can potentially be affected by this phenomenon and exchanged free of charge. If you are experiencing this issue, please enter your unit’s serial number in the serial number verification tool below to check if your unit can be exchanged.
If your WI-SP510 unit is among the affected models, you can exchange it at the shop where you purchased it. Should this not be possible, a link to our shop locator will appear under the verification tool with directions to the nearest shop where you can exchange your unit.
How to check the model name and serial number of your headset
The model name is located on the built-in, rechargeable battery.
The serial number is printed on the right unit (R) of the headset and is visible after removing the earbud tip and the arc supporter.
Application period for the free exchange programme
The free exchange programme is valid until 30 November 2022.
