Support by Sony is taking its final bow
As of end February 2027, the Support by Sony app will be discontinued and will no longer be available for download on the App Store or Google Play. Customers can access support through existing applicable Sony product apps, Sony Support websites, and Sony Support YouTube channels.
However, this is not goodbye to Sony support.
Continued dedicated support close to you
Although the app is retiring, you can continue to find support through our dedicated touchpoints to help you set up devices, receive firmware update information, access Help Guides and find troubleshooting content.

After the Support by Sony service ends, the following changes will apply:
- The Support by Sony app will no longer be available for download from app stores.
- Firmware update notifications will no longer be sent through the Support by Sony app.
- For compatible products, firmware update information will continue to be available through dedicated Sony apps, including Sony | Sound Connect, Sony | Creators' App and Sony | BRAVIA Connect.
- Product content and messages previously available in the Support by Sony app will no longer be accessible.
- If the Support by Sony app is already installed, opening it after the service ends will display a notice explaining that the service has been discontinued.
