Which USB devices can I use with my Xperia tablet?
The Xperia Tablet itself does not have a USB port, but can establish USB connections via optional accessories. A summary of these accessories and the connectivity they offer is listed below:
USB Cable SGPUC2
This 1m long cable connects to the Xperia tablet's multiport and offers a USB Type A plug. It is supplied with the AC-adapters SGPAC5V5 and SGPAC5V6 and also available seperately. One of these AC-adapters and one of these cables is supplied with the tablet.
- connect the tablet to the AC-Adapter for charging
- connect the tablet as USB mass storage device to a computer
- charge the tablet via a computer's USB port, provided that this port provides 1.5A current.
Note: USB charging may not be possible on all computers, or only on ports specifically marked for this purpose. Please refer to your computers user manual for more information about USB charging other devices.
USB Host Adapter Cable SGPUC3
This 15cm long adapter cable connects to the Xperia tablet's multiport and offers a USB type A jack.
- connecting USB mass storage devices to the tablet, for example

HDMI Adapter Cable SGPHC1
This 15cm long adapter cable connects to the Xperia Tablet's multiport and offers a HDMI output jack and a multiport jack, which can be used with the USB cable provided with the AC-adapter (SGPUC2, see above).
Supports the following uses:
- provide HDMI output for connecting to a televison or display
- connecting via SGPUC2 to AC-adapters SGPAC5V5 or SGPAC5V6
- connecting the tablet as USB mass storage device via SGPUC2 to a computer
Note: connecting the USB host adapter cable (SGPUC3) or another HDMI adapter cable (SGPHC1) to the adapter's multiport jack is not supported.
Cradle SGPDS2
Docking Stand SGPDS3
Cover with Keyboard SGPSK1
This cover integrates a USB keyboard. The tablet is docked in the cover which connects to the tablet's multiport. The keyboard does not require a wireless connection and can therefore be used in airplane mode. The cover comes bundled with a micro USB cable and has a matching jack on the right side.
Supports the following uses:
- connecting via SPGUC2 to AC-adapters SGPAC5V5 or SGPAC5V6
Dock Speaker SGPSPK1
This speaker stand does offer an auxiliary audio input jack and comes bundled with an AC-adapter and remote control, but unlike the cradle and stand listed above, does not offer USB ports.
