This update uses the INZONE Hub app. Visit the INZONE Hub page for details on installing the INZONE Hub PC app on your computer, and refer to this page for instructions on how to update your INZONE Mouse-A (MSE-G500).

Preparation

Check the Firmware Version

If the current firmware version is 1.1.12.0, you do not need to perform the update. To check which firmware version you have:

  1. Please connect the mouse and wireless dongle to the PC.
  2. Launch the INZONE Hub PC app.
  3. Click on Device Settings.
  4. Confirm the mouse and wireless dongle software version. If the version appears as 1.1.1.0, you can proceed with the update.

Important Notice

  • Once the update starts, you will not be able to use the mouse while performing steps 1 through 8 in the Detailed Update Procedure section below.
  • Wait for the update to finish before:
    • Unplugging the USB cable from the computer
    • Unplugging the USB cable from the wireless dongle
    • Exiting the INZONE Hub PC app
    • Turning off the computer
    If you perform any of these actions during the update, the mouse may become unusable.
  • Please connect the wireless dongle directly to the computer. Avoid connecting them via USB hubs or extension cables.
  • When connecting to a notebook PC, perform the update while the PC is connected to a power source.
  • Do not allow your computer to go into sleep or hibernation mode during the update.

Download and Install

Update Procedure

Follow the steps below to update this device:

  1. When you start an update from the INZONE Hub PC app, the update software is downloaded from the server to your computer.
    (The file size is approximately 480 KB.)
  2. Transfer the update software from your computer to the mouse and wireless dongle.
  3. Perform the mouse update.

Detailed Update Procedure

  1. If the INZONE Hub PC app is running, right-click the INZONE Hub icon displayed in the task tray, then select Quit.

    Connect the mouse and wireless dongle to your PC while the INZONE Hub PC app is not running:
    1. First, update the mouse.
    2. Connect the mouse to the computer using a USB cable.
    3. Update the wireless dongle.
    4. Connect the wireless dongle to the computer using a USB cable.
    5. Connect the wireless dongle to your mouse.
  2. Launch the INZONE Hub PC app on the computer connected to the mouse or wireless dongle.
    If you see the PRIVACY POLICY screen, proceed to Step A below. If you see a red dot on the gear icon, proceed to Step B. All others may proceed to Step 3.
    1. If you have never launched the INZONE Hub PC app before, the PRIVACY POLICY confirmation screen and privacy settings screen will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

    2. If the installed INZONE Hub PC app is not up to date, a red dot will appear on the gear icon in the upper right area of the screen.

      Click the gear icon to access the Settings screen, and then click Update to update the INZONE Hub PC app to the latest version.

      Note: The version displayed on the Settings screen may differ from the one shown in the image above.
  3. If a mouse and wireless dongle update is available, a red dot will appear next to Device Settings.
  4. Select Device Settings, then press the Update button displayed on the System Software Information screen.
  5. A confirmation screen for the update will appear. After reviewing the update details, press the Update Now button to begin the update.
    [Update now?] screen. After reading the Update Contents, scroll down using the scrollbar on the right side of the screen. Once scrolled down, you can click either the [Later] button in the bottom left corner or the [Update Now] button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
    Notes:
    • Update both the mouse and wireless dongle separately.
    • Once the update starts, the mouse will be unavailable until the update is complete.
  6. Once the update starts, a progress bar will appear as shown in the image below. Please wait approximately 2 minutes for the update to complete.

  7. Once the update is complete, the Update complete screen will appear. Press OK to confirm.

  8. After the update is complete, verify that the new version has been installed correctly:
    1. Follow the steps in the Check the Firmware Version section of this page.
    2. If the mouse and wireless dongle version displays as 1.1.12.0, the update was successful.

Troubleshooting

When following the steps above, an error message indicating an update failure appears.

If this happens:

  1. Press OK.
  2. The INZONE Hub PC app will display the following screen. Press Update and perform the update again.

  3. When you press the Update button, the confirmation screen for executing the update (as described in Step 5 of the Detailed Update Procedure section) will appear. Please proceed with the update as shown.
