I can't connect my Walkman to Wi-Fi using the WPA/WPA2 mixed mode router setting

For enhanced security, the Walkman disables the Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) encryption method, which has known vulnerabilities, in favor of Wi-Fi connectivity.

The WPA/WPA2 mixed mode setting on Wi-Fi routers may use TKIP internally, meaning your Walkman can't establish a connection due to the device's specifications.

In this case, change your access point (Wi-Fi router) settings to one of the following:

    • Set your router to WPA2 (AES/CCMP) exclusive mode
      • AES = Advanced Encryption Standard
      • CCMP = Counter Mode with CBC-MAC Protocol
    • If your router supports WPA3, use WPA3 (AES)
    • Change the settings to use AES only, instead of mixed mode

The steps for changing the settings vary depending on your router's manufacturer and model. For details, refer to the router's user manual.
