Note:Not supported by OSs other than above. The OS needs to be pre-installed.

Download
Before you update
- Confirm the remaining battery indicator of the unit.
Confirm that remaining battery amount indicator in the display window of the unit is full. If battery power runs out during the firmware update, the firmware update may not succeed. - Please transfer all recorded messages and data from the unit to the computer in advance, since the messages and data may be lost when upgrading as they are remained on the unit.
We cannot guarantee in case the recordings and the data are damaged or deleted by this update.
Install
- The update program download is started by clicking Download button on the bottom of this announcement.
Following the displayed dialog box, save the PCM-D100_V102.zip (Windows:23.0MB, Macintosh:24.2MB) in your PC. - After completion of the download, connect your PCM recorder to your computer
- Quit all software running on your PC.
- Double click the saved PCM-D100_V102.zip file, and extract it
- In case you are using Windows Vista /Windows 7 computer
- Right-click on the file PCM-D100_V102.zip and click [Extract All].
- The file "PCM-D100_V102.zip" is open and is displayed. Confirm that the below file is in it. This file is the firmware update program.

Note: Depending on your computer configurations, the file extension ".UPG" in the filename "PCM-D100.UPG" may not be displayed.
- In case you are using Mac OS X
- Double-click the downloaded file "PCM-D100_V102.zip"
- Confirm that the file is extracted and the file "PCM-D100.UPG" is created on computer desktop. This file is the firmware update program.

Note: Depending on your computer configurations, the file extension ".UPG" in the filename "PCM-D100.UPG" may not be displayed.
- In case you are using Windows Vista /Windows 7 computer
- Copy the extracted file (filename: PCM-D100.UPG), which you have extracted as described in the section above, to the root directory that is located immediately below "PCMRECORDER" on the computer
- Disconnect the PCM recorder from the computer
- Update screen appears in the display window of the linear PCM recorder and firmware update starts. Firmware update will complete in about 1 minute, and the stop mode display or clock setting display appears
Errors during the update
- The linear PCM recorder displays "Low battery power to Update"
If you use the alkaline batteries, replace all of them with new ones. If you use the Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries, replace all of them with charged ones Note: If you use rechargeable batteries in the target product (for this update process or for ordinary use), please use only either the Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries accompanying the target product or any of such models of Ni-MH rechargeable batteries as are listed as available accessories in the instruction manual of the target product. - In case the linear PCM recorder displays "Memory Full"
Delete some of recorded messages of data in the unit, or transfer them to the computer to available disk space more than 35MB. Then, start updating, again.
After the update
Please confirm the version when the update program is installed successfully byChecking which version of firmware you have.The update program installation is succeeded when 1.02 is shown on the screen.
