Upcoming Software Correction for Xperia 1 VI Digital Zoom (May 31, 2024)
Sony identified an inconsistency with the Xperia 1 VI telephoto lens's digital zoom function. Due to a software error, the actual zoom capability doesn’t match the on-screen magnification when zooming between 7.1X and 21X. The optical zoom function, which operates up to 7.1X, is unaffected.
We’re happy to inform you that our team is diligently working on a software update to fix this difference.
The update is generally scheduled for release in June, with varying timing depending on the operator, region, and country.
