How to access the Control Panel

The new Control Panel is now called “PC settings”, and allows the user to customize the settings within Windows 8.

1. Launch Charms by placing the cursor to the top right hand or bottom left hand corner
2. Select “Settings”
3. Select “PC settings”
4. User will be presented with the following categories:
1. Personalize
2. Users
3. Notifications
4. Search
5. Share
6. General
7. Privacy
8. Devices
9. Ease of Access
10. Sync your settings
11. HomeGroup
12. Windows Update

The classic Control Panel still exists and can be accessed using the following steps:

1. Launch Charms by placing the cursor to the top right hand or bottom left hand corner
2. Select “Search”
3. Type “Control Panel”
4. Select “Control Panel”
5. The classic Control Panel will now launch within the desktop mode

2. Select “Settings”
3. Select “Control Panel”
