How to reset your Sony soundbar or home theater system

Learn how to reset your soundbar or home theater system.

• The reset method differs depending on the product.
• The settings return to their initial status. Settings such as volume, function, sound settings and/or personal information stored on the system may be change.

HT-A9 / HT-A3000 / HT-A5000 / HT-A7000 / HT-X9000F / HT-XF9000 / HT-Z9F / HT-ZF9
Select another model

1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
2. Select Setup → Advanced Settings.
3. Select Resetting.
4. Select the menu item you want to reset.
5. Select Start.

If you cannot perform resetting using the Home menu:

• HT-A9: Press and hold the power button on the control box for more than 10 seconds.
• HT-A3000 / HT-A5000 / HT-7000 / HT-X9000F / HT-XF9000 / HT-Z9F / HT-ZF9: Press and hold the power button and - (volume down) button on the bar speaker for more than 5 seconds.
