What media file formats does the Media Player app (downloaded from the app store) support for my Google TV™ and Android TV™?

Contents from a USB device or the home network cannot be played using Media Player, which was downloaded from the app store.

The media file formats supported by the Media Player app downloaded from the app store (*) are as follows:
*Google Play Store

Choose your TV model type:

BRAVIA 2 (S20), W8x5_W8x6, W8L, X64L_X70L_X74L_X75L, X77L_X78L, W8K, X74K_X75K, W8, X7, X74H_X75H series

The Media Player app does not support Dolby content.
Refer to the Help Guide or the article below for a list of media file formats that are supported by the Media Player, Video, or Photo application that was pre-installed on the BRAVIA TV.
