What is 4K?

4K indicates a high-resolution image with a horizontal resolution of approx. 4,000 pixels.
Pixels are the smallest units that make up an image. K indicates 1,000 units. The higher the pixels, the sharper the image gets.

For 4K compatible TVs, units are 3,840 (approx. 4K) in the horizontal direction x 2,160 (approx. 2K) in the vertical direction, and is represented as 4K2K.

    • 2K1K (Full High Definition): Horizontal 1,920 x Vertical 1,080 = 2,073,600 pixels
    • 4K2K (4K Compatible TV): Horizontal 3,840 x Vertical 2,160 = 8,294,400 pixels
