Resumed: Firmware Update of Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones WI-1000X/WH-1000XM2 - 3 July 2018

On May 17, 2018, Sony released the Firmware Update 2.0.0 for WI-1000X/WH-1000XM2. However, in rare cases, we found that a loss of sound in both sides of the headphones ensued after completing the update. Therefore, we immediately suspended the firmware download.

Now, we would like to inform you that we will resume the download service with an improved version 2.0.1, which tackles the phenomenon mentioned above.

If you have already updated your headphones to version 2.0.0 and your product was affected by the sound failure phenomenon, we will repair it free of charge.
Please contact your closest Sony Authorised Service Center. 

If you have installed the previous Firmware version 2.0.0. and everything functions normally, then it is not necessary to update to version 2.0.1.
In this case, the update message will not be shown on Sony | Headphones Connect」application screen.
