Sony's Road to Zero Plan

Sony's 2010 "Road to Zero" environmental plan has a zero environmental footprint as its goal, with our Green Management 2025 plan defining intermediate targets. Measures have been taken to reduce the environmental footprint of the α7C II at every stage of its life cycle, from product development through supply chain, production, and packaging.

Recycled materials in cameras and digital camera products

Only recyclable resources are used in our repeatedly recyclable, durable, high quality SORPLAS™ material1. SORPLAS and other recyclable materials are used in camera bodies as much as possible1, reducing stress on the environment without compromising performance or functionality in any way.

Accessible technology on α cameras

Sony's α cameras are equipped with a number of accessibility features so that as many people as possible can utilise and enjoy our technology. For example, the Screen Reader function reads text on the menu screens aloud, with volume and reading speed adjustable as needed. Also, Enlarge Screen function allows the text in the Menu display to be enlarged to 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5 times in its size.
