What if I've locked myself out of my Walkman player?

Activating the screen lock feature will increase the security of the player. Nevertheless, if you forget the pattern, PIN code, or password, you will not be able to unlock the screen. That's why we strongly recommend that you note or store the pattern, PIN code, or password needed to unlock the player in a separate, secure location in case you ever do forget.

If you have forgotten the pattern, PIN code, or password and cannot retrieve or recall it, you will not be able to unlock the screen by yourself.
If you forget how to unlock the screen, contact the nearest Sony dealer or Sony Service Center. The player will be formatted at a fee to erase the screen lock information. Sony assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage of stored data.
