Welcome to α: How to claim your cashback vouchers

    Welcome to α! In this article, we'll go over how to obtain and claim your vouchers for the Sony Alpha Cashback Promotion.

    Get rewarded with a discount on lenses, microphones, or accessories when you purchase an eligible Sony camera!

    Follow the steps below to claim your cashback quickly and easily. If you have questions, or are experiencing issues with your claim, skip to the FAQ section.

    Step 1: Buy and Register Your Camera

    1. Purchase an eligible Sony camera from a participating retailer in the Republic of Ireland.
    2. Register your camera on My Sony and opt in to receive marketing emails.
    3. After registration, you will receive three (3) unique voucher codes via email (within 24 hours), each worth £100.

    Each voucher can be used toward the purchase of one eligible product — a lens, a microphone, or an accessory. Only one voucher can be used per product. 

    With your three vouchers, you can claim up to three cashbacks — for example:

    • One lens, one microphone, and one accessory,
    • Or three lenses,
    • Or three accessories — it’s your choice!

    Step 2: Redeem Your Vouchers

    Use your voucher codes to purchase up to three (3) eligible lenses, microphones, or accessories from a participating retailer.

    IMPORTANT:

    • You must wait 30 days after your purchase (of a lens, microphone, or accessory) before you can submit a cashback claim.
    • You have up to three months from the date of purchase (of a lens, microphone, or accessory) to submit your claim.

    How long is this cashback offer available?

    Claims can be submitted between 31.07.2025–30.09.2026. 

    Step 3: Submit Your Cashback Claim

    1. Visit the Welcome to α website and click “Claim cashback” 
    2. Log in or create a My Sony account.
    3. Complete the claim form by providing:
      • Model name, serial number, and used voucher code of your lens, microphone, or accessory
      • Purchase date and retailer details
      • Personal information:
        • Name
        • Email
        • Address
        • Phone number
        • Bank account details
      • Uploads:
        • Proof of purchase (photo or PDF)
        • Photo of the serial number

    IMPORTANT:

    • About the serial number photo: Hold the product in your hand and make sure the sticker with the serial and model number is clearly visible.  
    • Accepted formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF (maximum 10MB). 

    Step 4: Confirm Your Cashback Claim

    1. After submitting your claim, you'll see a confirmation page.
    2. You’ll also receive a confirmation email with an 8-digit registration code (claim ID) — keep this safe for future reference!
      •  If you haven’t received the e-mail, check your spam/junk folder.
